Anger issues...

Everyone who is familiar with stereotypes of black people knows about the angry black man/woman image.  I have dealt and still deal with the image and with people who cater to it with their own behaviour.

What do you think?
Is anger management a common problem in the black community?
Do you have any experience with it?
Or do you see it is a stereotype that makes it hard for a black man/woman to express themselves without being labelled 'aggressive"?
What is your opnion?

Re(a)d Between The Lines S1E2

I failed to mention how the black man is portrayed in this show. Malcolm does a great job showing there is a possibility of being a stepfather and good husband. There IS life after divorce. Also he is not aggressive, loud or some kind of baffoon. The man has a respectful way of dealing with his wife whom he truly married ( a lot of men seem to have a problem with sealing the deal with black women, I will speak on that on another blog)  and he is highly educated to. These are all very positive aspects to he image of a black man and I can't wait to see the rest of the show.

I hope you feel the same way, here is S1E2:

Re(a)d Between The Lines

The first show I want to share with you is Reed Between The Lines which airs on BET. Two TV veterans     and fine actors star in it. I love the natural hair styles, educated complete black family and emphases on progressive things in life that is reflected in this show. Also, as a black woman I must stress the important of seeing the portrayal of a black professorial, highly-educated, working woman with a husband and children. She just like Clair Huxtable makes it work while also going for her ambitions. I will not keep you waiting any longer, Here is S1E1 of Reed Between The Lines:
