Being black has it's pros and cons. Especially when you grow up in Europe. Don't expect to only read about that though, my love for music, fashion, entertainment and news will also be part of this blog. ENJOY!

Atlanta´s Wives s1e1
I will share this show very fast ´cause, we have reached season4 in 2011. I have kept myself away from different types of reality shows for a while because I judged them. Now I see, it´s not just entertainment... It is a reflection of the building blocks for society`s perception of black people.... HM... I do love Nene though! Here it comes... the very first episode of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Re(a)d Between The Lines S1E5
"We want to live like kings, but work like babies with a short attention span and literary intolerance". This a quote of someone dear to me who expressed her feelings about "fat money living". A pattern we see among our brothers and sisters, and heat. In order to play hard, you need to work hard. Leaders are never afraid to sweat for their goals.
I bet you have some experiences to share on this one!

Re(a)d Between The Lines S1E4
Happy New Year!!!
And here is a new episode of RBTL, s1e4:
Curly Haired People and their hair issues.....
I say curly haired 'cause the issue that is portrayed in this episode has to do with hair structure first and then skin color. If your hair is very curled, beyond waves, you might consider straightening your hair, because it doesn't flow. The comment that the play director made ( "'the queen has long flowy hair, not eh eh") really made me reminisce of why my hair got a perm when I was 3 (Mom was trying to make me look "pretty") and 9 (I wanted to look like some other girls at school , they had hair like the girl on the box below) till I was 16 years old (I kept it natural eversince). I wish my mom was told that "after a perm your hair texture changes and it takes years for your hair to grow out to the length it was. Your hair will never be exactly the same". I bet she would have thrown out "Just for me" in a heartbeat.
What do you think?
What have you experienced? Or ask me about my experiences...
