Mom was right? Is an aspect of my blog that targets one of my childhood warnings. As everyone who has been raised in a very religious family, I was prohibited to do certain things and watch certain programs.
Most cartoons were considered too violent, occult or useless. The only cartoon I was always allowed to watch was Tom & Jerry. Little did my mother know that those cartoons can be creepy too.
Check this clip:
I don't know if the makers of this particular episode used an existing cult of some sort to inspire them. I just know my mother wouldn't like to see me watch this. In fact, I wouldn't want my children to watch this. Worshiping the "President of Hollywood", a shadowy horned creature, doesn't seem like the right entertainment for kids... or me for that matter.
What are your thoughts on this?
I frankly think that ppl focus too much on what their kids watch on tv. the less important we find it, the less important our kids will find it. It's only when we prohibid things do they become more interested. Not saying to let them do whatever they want and watch whatever they want, but sometimes we have to pick our battles, and we choose wrong a lot of times.
